The problem in the rail

Voltage regulation has always been an apology for what already happened.

A regulator measures an average, notices it has drifted, and corrects. Every correction is late by definition, so margin is designed in to absorb the lateness. That margin is heat, cost and a ceiling on how hard the part is allowed to work.

iPMM is designed to remove the lateness rather than the margin, because it sits inside the loop rather than behind it.

Where it sits
In the power path, as the controller. Existing topology, magnetics and layout are preserved.
Interfaces
Standard management and telemetry interfaces, so platform software sees a familiar device.
Fail safe
On any internal fault it reverts to conventional regulation behaviour. The rail keeps working.

The method, reference control blocks and integration engineering support.

Commercial shape
Design in licence, then a production royalty, in the pattern established by processor IP.
Why it holds
Designed in, the method cannot be uninstalled without redesigning the board.
